INSULATED SERVICE DOORS
Cookson's Insulated Doors are manufactured with a process that is used by no other insulated door manufacturer, Cookson Doors keep thermal losses to an absolute minimum. Although most door manufacturers use foamed-in-place insulation. Cookson uses solid insulated of the highest quality available with a flame spread not greater than 25 and smoke generation less than 50. Complete coverage and consistent density are assured by a piece of insulation placed between galvanized steel slats. A flexible, solid foam astragal fits into the guides at the bottom of the door to assure a complete seal across the opening. Seepage of air around the hood is minimized by a waterproof hood baffle that resists tearing and cracking and maintains flexibility in winter. The Cookson insulation system also includes snap-on guides, weatherstripping made of heavy vinyl extrusions that are designed to reduce air infiltration and dust at any temperature while providing energy efficiency, Cookson Insulated Door also offer aesthetic appeal with a finished appearance inside and out.
ROLLING SERVICE DOORS
The Cookson Company only builds one kind of Rolling Service Door, heavy duty. Every Service Door building includes: 50,000 life cycle design, structural angle guides and bottom bar, cast gears and stops, fabricated steel plate brackets, 20psf windloading and the exclusive FinalCote Finish.
SERVICE FIRE DOORS
Cookson Fire Doors are the most effective way of protecting property while increasing safety for building occupants. Cookson designs have eliminated impact of release mechanism parts to assure years of frequent testing without costly maintenance or repair. The purpose of a Cookson Fire Door is to protect property by limiting damage in case of fire. In order to limit damage caused by fire, The Cookson Company recommends that all fire doors be actuated by smoke detectors or building alarm systems. All of Cookson’s Fire Door Products Systems have been specifically designed for smoke detector or building alarm actuation.
ROLLING GRILLES
Cookson's Rolling Grilles are an example of Cookson's uncompromised commitment to quality and value because they have been manufactured with the same proven materials and designs for decades. The grille curtains are made of 5/16" solid aluminum rods rather than hollow rods and the links are 1/8" or 3/16" thick aluminum shapes rather than thinner gauge materials.
